How long is the immersive experience compared to a regular tour with Glacier Tours?
Immersive experiences with Sovereign Light LLC are typically longer than the normal glacier tours. This is due to the time required to hike to our own, more quiet and secluded destination on the glacier. Once there, the core activity can last up to an hour or more. You should plan on the entire tour time to last 3.5 to 4 hours. Normal tours with Glacier Tours last 2 to 3 hours.
Will we see the same glacier features as on the normal tours?
Yes, during your immersive experience you will still hike the same paths and see the same features on your way to settling down in an inspiring “nook” on Matanuska Glacier.
What will I need to bring?
The standard suggested clothing applies, but since we will be sitting still, the likelihood of getting colder is higher. Consider bringing/wearing another insulating layer. In addition, you will need to carry your own 9lb folding camp chair which is provided in a carrying case with strap.
Is there a supply fee for the art experience?
No, there are zero additional fees! All supplies are included, and you may take your tile souvenir home. We will apply a protective finish spray on your tile, but more layers may be needed to better preserve your masterpiece.

Glacier Tours is located 2.5 hours north of Anchorage, Alaska on S. Glacier Park Rd. You’ll find the access road at Mile 102 of the Glenn Highway.
